Atlanta - Super Bowl Weekend Part 2

Updated: Jan 10, 2019

So you've booked your hotel/B&B and purchased your plane ticket already (No? Click here). Now what to do while you're here? Well if you're coming for the Superbowl events, to party, to enjoy Atlanta, or a little bit of everything you will have plenty to do. I'm going to walk you through some of things I've experienced as far as being a local resident here and what I would recommend you try.

Let's start of with the Superbowl events. The NFL has this link showcasing a majority of their sponsored events. Some events start as early as Jan 26th and majority of them require tickets. As I advised in Part 1, use Marta if you can. It will save you time, gas, and lower the amount of frustration you may receive from Atlanta's traffic.

So now that we have the main event out the way let's talk about places to eat and there are plenty of places to eat. We're definitely not going to cover them all, but I will provide some of my favorites and few that some of my friends have recommended. Below are restaurants in Buckhead, Smyrna, Perimeter Area, and Atlanta areas.

Waffle House is pretty everywhere. Find and enjoy! Also visit the Varsity in Midtown and the Buckhead Diner. Good Eats!

If you plan on visiting the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, or the World of Coca Cola then you might as well pick up the City Pass. Well worth the purchase if you really want to visit some of the tourist attractions Atlanta has to offer. If you're into history then be sure to check out the King Center, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Civil and Human Rights Museum. Feeling a little artsy then check out the High Museum. Feel like going for a stroll... maybe a little shopping... then go down to the Beltline, Atlantic Station, or Little Five Points. After spending a few hours at any of these locations you'll probably want to call a day. Or if the day isn't over for you just yet. Take a nap and get ready for the nightlife.

What is Atlanta known for? Olympics... yep. Southern hospitality... yep. Peaches... yep and in all sizes, but we'll come back to that. Let's start off with some of the things that everyone can have a little fun with. I'm going to break this down by groups and these are really environments that are fun and entertaining.
